9K a year 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION The Accounts Payable Coordinator intern will be trained and mentored on how to compile and maintain accounts payable records as well as assisting other accounting staff as a team member and providing direct support to the Accounts Payable Manager.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
Distribute signed checks as required.
Process fund transfers and electronic payments as directed.
Perform filing and copying tasks as needed.
Train retail employees on invoice process.
Print and obtain signatures on all accounts payable checks Properly code all invoices to appropriate GL accounts.
Answer all vendor inquiries.
Observe safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly.
Advise the Company of any actions/situations that pose a threat to any employee, customer, or guests.
Assist Accounting Department and Office Manager as necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a proactive approach.
Expected to adhere to ethical principles and standards in all actions and decisions.
Vendor account reconciliation Proficient in identifying problems, analyzing root causes, and developing effective solutions.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
